We understand that selecting the right school for your family is an important decision. Our Admissions Team is here to assist you to move forward with your interest in joining the RAS community.
The application process begins with our online application form. We offer an online application for the convenience of both prospective local and international families. If you are unsure, you can check your child’s grade level placement and grade level equivalency from their last school system before you apply.
The application will ask you to provide:
- Demographics, language, educational and health background information;
- A scanned copy of your child/ren’s passport or IC Card (if Malaysian);
- Copies of previous school records and reports
- Copies of previous learning support documents or screenings (if applicable);
- A Student Reference Form
- A Parent Health Questionnaire
- A Health Screening Form with Immunization History (to be completed by a doctor);
- An Early Childhood Program Parent Questionnaire (PK3/4 – KG only);
- A non-refundable Application Fee of 1,000 MYR
Once you have submitted all required documents and paid the application fee, your application will undergo a thorough review by our admissions team. Upon completion of this review process, you and your child will be invited to an interview and screening.
Our screening process seeks to ensure that students entering RAS will benefit from our rigorous academic and diverse co-curricular environment. Students who apply to RAS must meet our academic entrance requirements. At each grade level, we administer a screening assessment designed specifically for the grade for which a student is applying for admission.
After the interview and screening, the families of prospective students will be notified of our official admissions decision in writing within two days (barring the need for further screening or information).
Once you receive and accept an offer of admission, our finance department will send out an invoice for a placement fee, registration and tuition payment. Please see our Fee Schedule for more information.
Once all fees have been paid, accepted applicants will be invited to a New Student Orientation before their first day of school. During orientation, students will have time to purchase uniforms, receive their Student ID, set up their MacBooks (Grade 5 and above), sign up for transportation, and select electives, world language and co-curricular activities. At this time, high school students will have the opportunity to meet with the high school counselor to determine course placement and their academic schedule. Families will be notified of all important dates and requirements via formal emails from the admissions team.
RAS sees education as a collaboration between students, parents and teachers. Once new families have moved through the admissions process and into the school community, they are encouraged to be involved in their child’s education and in the school community through direct communication with teachers and administrators, participation in school wide-events and involvement in Raffles Parents for Education (RPFE).
